SuitableYou: The Perfect Wardrobe Solution for Every Girlboss

August 23, 2017

I discovered an amazing solution for all of our “I-don’t-know-what-I’m-wearing-today” woes! Well, okay, they found me.

I’m super excited to be sharing with you guys because this is the very first style box service I’ve ever tried. And they effortlessly won me over. Enter SuitableYou!

WHAT IS SUITABLEYOU?

SuitableYou is a style box service dedicated to providing affordable, top-notch workwear for millennial women.

Their mission is to become the ultimate resource for all-things-career by creating a community for women to share their experiences and ideas as they relate to the work world such as salary negotiations, career transitions and preparing for promotions.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

I got on the website and was ushered in by a quick survey to determine my personal taste. It felt like one of those fun Seventeen quizzes I used to take “back-in-the-day” so I definitely had fun with it. No hassle.

Asides from the typical “what’s your size” questions, SuitableYou pretty much got everything covered. They even asked about the types of events I attend and where I currently was career-wise. Think: from work presentations to even weddings!

After the survey, I received a confirmation email saying the stylists received my quiz and was preparing my custom-made box! I received my box just a few days later.

I know, they’re that quick.

WHAT’S IN YOUR BOX?

Every box has 5 pieces which include dress, skirt, pants, shirts or accessories etc, a personal note from stylist with details on how and where to wear each piece. You also get a pricing sheet detailing brand and cost.

You have 4 days to check out online. After you try on your items, you choose what you want to buy or send em right on back! What I love about SuitableYou is how they provide various price points based on your budget. So yes, you can look fab and still have your hard-earned money in your pockets!

MORE REASONS TO LOVE SUITABLEYOU:

  • The service is a tiered discount program so the more you keep the more you save!
  • The monthly styling fee is only $20.
  • You can choose to skip months and won’t have to pay the fee for those months skipped.
  • Oh, and it’s free shipping & returns.

Who doesn’t love that?

Bonus: Their customer service is also plain awesome. I can be kinda picky but they went above and beyond to sure I was pleased with every single item.

WOMEN, WE WEAR THE PANTS:

I like to have fun with textures, colors and prints so the items I’m most obsessed with are off-the-shoulder top, culottes and the maxi dress. The sleeves on that top is so fun and I love how it’s blush!

I felt the entire box captured my confidence: a total boss in these culottes and a garden queen in that dress.

YOU NEED SUITABLEYOU IF YOU’RE…

  • You’re having problems transitioning your school wear into workwear.
  • You don’t have the money or the time to buy professional clothing that is appropriate for the work environment.
  • You simply find professional clothes ugly.

If you’re a boss student or killin the game at work, you need this new fun way to shop! Use my 15% discount code “TARAH15” at checkout!

This is awesome. Especially for someone who is super busy, and may not have time to go out looking for the right outfit.

Awesome post and the monthly styling subscription is super affordable. I might have to look into that. I loved the pant outfit.

  • When you get a seat at the table 😭🙌🏾 Seeing my name there reminded me of all my late nights working on my website. Reminded me of my continuous battle of finding balance with all my side jobs, church responsibilities and simply taking care of myself. Reminded me of those times I️ just felt “blah” because I️ was doing all of the right things and making connections with all the right people but wasn’t yet presented THE opportunity. I️ have a long way to go but I️ have that now. My first post as a @teenvogue fashion writer is up and I have all the feels. God is working. On His own timing, but He’s working — He has never stopped ❤️ (SB: iPhone won’t let me be great but ima talk of God’s goodness anyway! 😂)
