I have a question for you. When all of the hype and excitement of good news or life’s highs settles, what voice do you hear? Or rather, what do you choose to listen to? I made some pretty bold declarations in front of my church on New Year’s Eve and most recently, a snippet with you. But I was shaken to the core at what happened next.

Moments after I returned to my seat, many intrusive thoughts ran through my head. They were ones that made me feel small and ridiculous for speaking up and for taking up space. I knew they were all lies but that didn’t stop me from feeling heavy, gross, and uncomfortable.

After standing to share something so empowering with a crowd of people, I had to sit and to encourage myself. I pushed and prayed and danced even when I felt out of it.

Then, guess what happened? My pastor was introducing the word of the year for my church and it was the very word I went up to speak about just moments prior: “manifestation.” I. Was. Shook. Not only that, the very same scripture I’ve been meditating on is the focus scripture!

Romans 8:19-22 | “For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now.

Instantly, my eyes were opened to see how necessary it was for me to get up on that stage and testify. It was a precursor for the foundation my pastor was to lay.

But the tears that filled my eyes weren’t just because I was in shock that my personal word of the year aligned with my church’s. The tears were there because God quieted all of those negative thoughts and restored peace in my heart with His affirmation. He not only confirmed what I heard in my quiet time in public, He affirmed His heart for me in private. I was amazed that He did that for me. And I wanted to share this to show how He can do that for you.

I pray my transparency shows you just how intentional God is about you. You are purposed and He is mindful of you. In Him, you’ll experience the most precious love of a Father. It’s one that soothes, affirms, heals, empowers, and restores. It is one that will never give up on you.

Truly, I honestly still can’t believe how aligned everything was with my season. Yes, “manifestation” is my word of the year but I’ve been declaring Romans 8:28 for quite some time now. Since 2020, I’ve opened up about being hidden (and gave you prayers for when you feel overlooked). I gave you a glimpse of some hardships and how I felt the shift for my unveiling. I wrote about the key to keeping the veil off, making the choice to live in expectancy, and how to best wait on the Lord. And now, here I am unveiled, but waiting for the full manifestation of God’s glory in my life. Thankfully, I have the right home (All Nations Church NJ) to learn about how to get there.

Christians and Manifestation

At a youth session at church, I was recently asked, “what would total manifestation look like in your life?” I had to pause to reflect and I have my answer now. But before I go there, I want to first say that as believers, we can’t manifest good in our lives. The only power we have comes from God alone and the only manifestation that we should practice is manifesting Christ. When I felt a nudge that “manifestation” would be my word of the year of 2024, I wasn’t attracted to it at first. However, in my quiet time, I quickly came to the conclusion that we must reclaim that word for the Kingdom! And here we are.

So what would total manifestation look like in my life?

I’m one who typically builds in silence but as of late, I have had a few moments where I felt led to publicly share that I am believing I am the next Miss Haiti. I’ve known of this promise since 2020. However, it’s not the physical crown that shows me that I have been unveiled (I don’t even have it yet)! Truth is, the unveiling has already happened. With my life’s mission and purpose being to encourage people to embrace their crowns in Christ, my full manifestation would look like displaying regality on a greater global scale. It’s an elevation that allows me to demonstrate what it looks like to be in the church and expertly navigate the marketplace as an heiress of the kingdom. It’s me standing as a royal representative to illustrate that indeed we look like sons and daughters of God, we have access to our inheritance (it must be visible to the world), and we shine like Christ even in the midst of trials. I’ve been doing it now before some, but the full manifestation is an exponential, unexplainable, and sudden expansion. The full manifestation is the unleashing of God’s glory.

This year, I’m looking forward to seeing the whole reveal. What are you expecting to see for yourself?
