Have you been seeing your favorite natural hair influencers sporting something that looks like a beanie but then again can be worn as a bonnet? I have! Up and down my feed, continuously. After seeing so many ads, I wanted to give it a try. Outside of my precious bundles, I am #teamnatural and I’m always looking to try out anything that will protect my curls!

The Satin-Lined Cap: Trendy, but Not a Trend

When I first heard of the Slap, I thought it was just another ploy to get us women into a new fad, but I was so wrong. The Slaps or Satin-lined Caps by Grace Eleyae are stylish caps that keep hair moisturized, protected and knot-free while sleeping, and stay in place day or night. I know, I know. You’re probably thinking how in the world the cap remains on your head, right? Well, each cap has an elastic band that keeps your tendrils from escaping. No more waking up in the middle of the night to throw on your bonnet with the satin-lined cap in your possession!

The beauty about the slap is that you don’t have to sacrifice style to protect your hair! The fact that you can wear them to bed as a protective barrier and you can wear them out as a beanie is totally genius. It’s perfect for those days where you don’t want to do your hair (I’m talking to you Ms. Twist Out!) I know all lazy girls are thanking Grace Eleyae somewhere!

The Bonnet You’ve Been Looking For

When I received my satin-lined cap, I was kinda obsessed with how soft it was. The exterior is a breathable material and the interior is that cool, slippery feel satin typically has. The look wasn’t what sold me, though. I oil my natural hair twice a week and was pleasantly surprised to not see any product on the satin. So yes, no residue and no slipping off. What else can you want in a bonnet?

Whether you wear your satin-lined cap out or indoors, you’re rewarded with the extra bonus of eliminating unnecessary breakage and frizz! Slide on the slap to keep your hair moisturized and silky smooth all day long.

The satin lined cap looks great on you to love how you style it with the denim jumpsuit 🙂

It’s good to know that satin-lined caps are now becoming more and more famous, especially among women. I like the fact that most of these are made from soft fabric and that it is very comfortable to wear. I just remembered that my wife would use to point at these satin-lined caps whenever we go shopping, and I would buy a couple for her. I guess it’s time that I buy her a couple more. Thanks.
