I find inspiration everywhere, especially when it comes to clothes. You know me, I like connecting the smallest things to real life situations. But when I looked at my outfit after I shot these looks, I had no idea what I was going to talk to you guys about.
Until I saw that pretty much everything I was wearing was fast fashion. It was quite a discovery haha. There’s nothing wrong with that, trust me. I love my luxury and fast retailers just the same. However, I just found it interesting how the “fast fashion” notion came to mind. It was right on time.
Ya see, young grasshopper, a few weeks ago, I was feeling extremely impatient. I saw where I wanted to be and I wasn’t quite happy with where I was. I was just like, “God, hurry this lil process up because I am not feeling it…please.”
Had to add that please in there for RESPEK.
I know we live in the now. We want our degree now, our dream job now, our man now, our wedding and riches and kids now. We want all of our blessings now now now. Or, we at least need a preview.
Knowing all this, I waited. And I thought I was being quite patient actually. I was passing all of the tests, learning, growing and all that. But deep down, I was like “Umm, can You show me the answer?” I was tired of the process. But even in your weakness, don’t throw an ultimatum until you get your desired results.
Don’t rush God for your blessings. You’ll cheat yourself.

Think about it: what if you actually saved for the Gucci Crossover Sandal instead of buying the knockoff at H&M? Sure you’d be satisfied…for now. But you’ll end up wanting for more, knowing that there is better quality out there.

I thank God for not giving me what I said I wanted right now. I thank Him for not giving in when I was being a spoiled brat! We have no idea what He’s saving us from. I can say this all because this here, took time. It took growth. It took understanding that what I want won’t come in a fast fashion.
So yes, you will have to wait. It will be grueling, it will hurt and it will agitate the mess out of you — but you will see how better equipped you are able to handle your blessings after the wait and toil.

Is there anything you’re waiting on?

You are absolutely beautiful! Love the boots and the post. Waiting is always worth it in my past experiences.

Thanks for the inspiring post. I have learned by experience that rushing into things does not have a good outcome. You are right. We must be patient enough to wait and trust God’s Wisdom. BTW, you look great in that outfit!
