Whew. The past couple of weeks have been a whirlwind.

From fashion week (I’ll be sharing a recap next week) to doing some freelance work, to working retail, to applying to jobs!!! It’s been real.

And it’s all been going so fast that sometimes I have to ask myself, “wait, what did I do last week?” Life’s been happening so fast!

Have you ever felt that way?

Gotten so caught up in your everyday, so much so that you realized you were being thrown into the happenings of your life? As if you have no say in it?

I have the mindset of, “I gotta do what I gotta do.”

And then, I do. I perform because it’s what’s required of me. And although I’ll put my all into it, sometimes, my heart just isn’t there. Sometimes, I fall in motion. And sometimes as I’m falling, I regain my footing and find myself rejuvenated in accomplishing those tasks.

Does that make sense? Yes? No?

I guess what I’m saying is: make sure you feed your passion as you go about your day-to-day tasks. Find the purpose in all you do, always. And when you feel like life is pushing you in a certain direction, understand that it’s okay to redirect yourself.

“Get in the swing of things,” they say.

But how about you control that swing? Lean back and with wind behind your legs, propel yourself forward.  Just make sure you’re holding on tight.

Uneasiness will dissipate and the flow of things will come when you drive. You can allow yourself to fall into motion. But also, be that motion.

I have totally been in a similar whirlwind of things goin on in my life for the last few weeks so I can totally relate. I agree, I always feel like I have to perform (sometimes outperform) what’s required of me but I love the idea of just falling into motion as you suggest. Such a good way to look at it all honestly. Ooooh and super cute outfit, you look gorg!!! =]
