It’s Friday and my To Do list is still full.
Maybe I’m over exaggerating. (Okay, I totally I am.) I did get things done. However, I should’ve been done with everything by now.
My laptop is the culprit.
My MacBook has been excruciatingly slow for awhile now but this week, it decided to crash every 30 min to an hour. Sometimes, even less and sometimes, not turning on at all. My charger also decided to give up on me. ?
Before going further, allow me to first confess: my biggest pet peeve is non-productivity. I hate when my time is wasted. It agitates me beyond belief when I could be doing something and I’m not. And yes, I know what you’re thinking…I do rest! I know the importance, I promise. However, the times I needed my computer, it wasn’t time for rest. It was time to work.
As a freelance writer and new business owner, my laptop is literally my mode of… everything! I’m incredibly grateful for my iPhone. However, I’m not as productive on it nor does it have all the features I need to actually work.
I’m really patient with my laptop and try to work on other things when it works up but it lets me down even when I really need it. So when this all happened…repeatedly, day after day…I wanted to launch my laptop. Not launch as in “turn on” but launch, as in “throw!”
I would never, though. Of course. Thankfully, I’m not one to act out physically. Well, not even emotionally. Yet, there I was…borderline in tears. Like think of it: you wake up super early, you spent time with God, you did your workout and when it’s time to sit down and do your work…you can’t. The whole day goes by as you try not give up on what you have to do for the day.
Keep Pushing: A Lesson on Productivity
Want to know what helped? My close ones gave me multiple pep talks. I went on multiple walks. I journaled multiple times. And, I was reminded to pray.
When practical things go wrong, it’s easy to forget the spiritual aspect of things. Prayer can change even the very thing you feel may not be a big deal to God.

So yes, even your status of your laptop matters to God!
I don’t think I’ve ever been so agitated but also so empowered to push through and make do with what I have. I will forever trust God and the methods He uses to relay His messages! That being said, I do have lots of new content that will encourage your LIFE ?

When I shot this look a few weeks ago, it seemed like the wind didn’t want me to win! When I would go one way, it would shove me one way. And when I tried a different angle, it would follow suit! But I pushed through. Moments after, it poured.
The opposition may feel stronger, but just tell whatever it is to back up off you! When you remain resilient, you’ll find your blessings pouring down in clear view.

I don’t know what you’re going through but tell your situation, NOT TODAY. You have work to do.
And then, do it.
