Korean skincare. We’ve all heard about it, thought about it, but now I can actually say that I’ve tried it! And let me tell you: IT. IS. EVERYTHING.
Everything, I tell ya! Korean skincare for the major win.
So here’s how they got me.
The amazing team at Peach & Lily reached out to me to see if I’d be willing to try out their products. At first, I was a bit hesitant because my skin is sensitive and I stick to a strict regimen prescribed by my dermatologist (and Sephora haha). So I didn’t want to try anything new and risk any surprise reactions.
However, I read on to see that Peach & Lily was featured by the likes of The Coveteur, Into the Gloss, and VOGUE. Sounded pretty legit to me! So I decided to give it a try.
The people at Peach & Lily were extremely gracious. Through their Ask Lily program, I shared my skin type and/or skin concerns, and they carefully selected products for me. So, yeah! It’s true. Korean skincare is all about catering to you! Through the Ask Lily program, customers can also receive free skin consultations and advice specific to their skin’s needs with Peach & Lily’s team of licensed estheticians and cosmetologists.
When I got my customized package in the mail, I couldn’t wait to wash off my makeup and apply them the very same night!
Here’s what I got: the Mizon Egg White Bubble Cleanser, Cremorlab Mineral Treatment Essence, Mizon Snail Repair Intensive Ampoule, Leaders Tea Tree Relaxing Renewal Mask and a whole bunch of cotton swabs!
The products were very simple to use.
I used the mask first. It was perfect. After a long shift at work, I showered and placed the mask on my face and rested for a few minutes. It was soothing and had a nice, cooling sensation. Everyone knows how good tea tree is good for the skin!
As for my daily process with Peach & Lily…
First, I used the egg white cleanser (my favorite) to wash off any impurities. It smells so good, btw! But don’t let it get in your nose — it tickles lol.
The next step is toner. I just used my organic aloe vera that I keep in my fridge. I don’t use it all the time, so I can’t say for certain that it was an added benefit.
Afterwards, I used their mineral treatment essence, which I slapped on with my bare hands after I ran out of cotton swabs haha. I love how fast it dries. This product is meant to smooth your skin texture and brighten (not lighten) it, as well.
Lastly, I applied the repair intensive ampoule. I was scared to use this because the serum is made out of snail mucin. Google “mucin” lol. I first applied it on a small area on my face. Once I saw that my skin wasn’t reacting negatively to it, I kept on. The serum is meant to calm irritated skin, leaving it silky smooth.
Now, I won’t lie and say I saw results the very next day.
But I can truthfully say that in using their products, I see a difference in my skin! The first night, my face was even softer (I think it was my beloved egg white cleanser). A month and a half later, my skin feels tighter, brighter and more balanced.
And that, my lovelies, is how Peach & Lily got me hooked on Korean skincare.
I was given products special courtesy of Peach & Lily in exchange for this review, but you guys know these words are all my own!
I love how you’re speaking the truth.I hate when people say they see results overnight. Thanks for your honest review.I’, a big fan of a tea tree ingredients in my everyday products.
