College Fashion Week NYC had a girl gushing. It was such an inviting place!
Okay, wait. Before I go into deets, let’s rewind. In case you missed the back story, I told you guys I was covering College Fashion Week here!
Back to the present. Or, past? Whatever, let’s just talk about it haha.
For one, I was greeted by the sweetest team who allowed my guests (contributor Medge and my photographer Dom — whoop whoop) and I to skip the line, which was all the way down the block and around the corner! Yes, that deep!
Upon arrival, I checked in and was gifted with a gigantic gift bag that had my shoulder hurting by the end of the night. It was totally worth it, though. I’ll take the pain for free gifts! I’ll show you the goods in a bit.
But speaking of goods…
There were so many brands present!
Like…the European Wax Center — whose welcoming team was amping everyone’s brow game!
Bertha Watches was there giving out manicure maintenance kits, KIND bars satisfying our stomachs, good ol Hanes, and Maidenform was there too and gave attendants opportunities to win body shapers. I’m totally missing some booths but just know it was a great group! Guests got to mingle and head over to the stations in between shows.
WAIT.
I can’t forget: there was even a stunning display of candy, candy, candy! We millennials went nuts haha
This year’s trends/scenes included RUSH with emerging fashion designers/entrepreneurs Ali & Ariel and Frill Clothing, FESTIVAL with Foray Collective, STUDY CHIC with My Social Canvas and GIRLS’ NIGHT OUT with Bow & Drape.
I’v never heard about those emerging brands before and to experience their work live was refreshing! The runway show was full of collegiate approved looks and it was amazing seeing girls of different shapes and sizes being celebrated on the runway.
These two were my fav looks from the show.
College Fashion Week was an enjoyable night filled with exposure to new brands and networking with fashion-lovers from NYC, NJ and even Maryland!
Hey, Brianna!
You know I love meeting new people and all — and, it seriously warms my heart whenever anyone says they follow Adorned in Armor! However, I must say, one of the biggest perks was this gigantic goodie bag. Like, there’s so many things that I can’t even fit in a flatlay. So I’m just going to show you a lil somethin’ somethin’.
Some of the items inside of that generous bag were Essie nail polish (praise the Lord, because I need to do my nails), tantalizing Vince Camuto perfume, a pretty in pink leather Rebecca Minkoff makeup bag (my makeup has such a pretty place to live in now), a coupon for a free blowout at Drybar (YAS) and a FITBIT! YES, FITBIT. Maybe that’ll encourage me to work out. *insert upside down smiley emoji here*
I’m super ecstatic that Medge and Domonique got to attend with me. It made it even more fun! Thank you, Her Campus and all of the amazing sponsors that made this night possible: Rebecca Minkoff, Vince Camuto, Drybar, Stylewatch, Fitbit, Bertha Watches and Perfumania. I absolutely positively love my gifts!
