*clears throat* Hi, my name is Tarah-Lynn Saint-Elien and I’m a blogaholic. (This is the part where you say hi back and tell me what you’re in for.)

No, but seriously, I have issues.

I have the WordPress app on my phone and every single time I hear that beautiful ring, I click on that beloved “W” and check my notifications. Whether it be a new subbie, new like, or comment, I have the same reaction – joy that someone has been on my blog. And when I’m near my laptop, I’m always checking out other peoples’ blogs, reading, liking, commenting away. It’s like a high. And, don’t get me started on how intrigued I am by building more content!

My blog use is becoming… obsessive. And, I go into a relapse when away from it. I deliberately have to set my phone and laptop aside to do whatever I have to do.

I have an excuse. With the birth of my blog, I nurtured it until it got strong enough to walk on its own. I was never afraid to share (though I did sparingly compared to now). However, I’ve always been so focused on building a strong foundation that it’s like I’m never off my blog. Yes, that’s dedication. But, I’m addicted. It’s a dedicated addiction or…addicting dedication??? Guess it’s both 😉

You see, I created my blog for a couple of reasons. 1. Because I love to write. Isn’t that the reason for every blogger? 2. I love fashion, too. So, I mixed my faith (reason number 3), my love of writing, fashion and viola – Adorned in Armor was born! Reason number 4 of why I created my blog is because I was tired of putting my outfit posts on Instagram (by the way, follow me!) I know it sounds a tad bit silly, but I wanted an open canvas, a portfolio of some sort. And, this is what I came up with. I suppose I should mention that I have two other blogs floating in cyberspace somewhere. Well, I do. I started them and never was persistent enough to follow through. I don’t think I even remember the site names, let alone passwords. I used Blogger and was just plain confused and eventually, discouraged. I didn’t think I would make another blog until I got to my “Writing for the Communication Professions” class and discovered that it was a requirement. We were introduced to WordPress and would get certain assignments that had to be fulfilled through our posts. I was hooked and did way more than I had to. Adorned in Armor is definitely here to stay!

I have a love-hate relationship with the blogging world. I love it because it’s my favorite form of entertainment. I rather blog than watch Netflix all day. Blogging is like finding a good book…one so good that you can’t ever put down because it just goes on and on and on. There are so many posts to read, so many bloggers to subscribe to! I’m always on the hunt for bloggers that interest me. But, because I constantly check my Reader, I already know what’s going on with everyone else. I exit the tab only to return a few hours later…okay, okay, a few minutes later.
