Is it genuine faith if you are not tested?

Every believer struggles in their faith walk at one point or the other. So no, you are not alone. However, it is up to you and only you to make the decision of whether or not you will remain rooted.

Do not be alarmed if you have found yourself in a place where you’ve lost people or places you’ve relied on. Perhaps this is a season where God just wants it to be you and Him. From Abraham to Moses to David, we see the commonality between true champions of the Christian faith. In order to stand firm in our faith, we must be spending time alone with God. The more we seek Him, the more we will see His hand in every single one of our circumstances.

Quiet time with God looks different for everyone but essentially, it’s going to a secluded place in order to hear God clearer or rest in His presence. It’s being intentional with your relationship with our Father and King.

I recently felt led to wake up and spend my quiet time with God at 5 am for a five-day devotional morning routine. As an anti-morning person, it was life-changing!

At one point in my quiet time, I was at the beach listening to the waves.

Looking at the stones and shells being tossed to and fro, I was reminded of this verse:

Ephesians 4:13-16 talks about how we must come into unity with our faith and knowledge of God’s Son so that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ.

“Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming.

We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth. Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church. He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.”

Friend, remain rooted. In Him. In His word. In His promises.

God has all the answers. He has the wisdom we need to navigate through this crazy world.

There are so many conflicting messages out there. It’s important that we aren’t moved but that we stand… that we dig in the word of God and meditate about what He says.

People may think you’re out of touch for believing in Jesus and honestly, that’s okay.

He thought you were worth dying for. And not only did He do so, but He also rose up and is seated at the right hand of God, fighting on your behalf. He left you a guide, the Holy Spirit so that you will fulfill your purpose on this earth.

This is your wake up call to live your life with Christ at the forefront. It won’t always be easy. But it will always be worth it.
