Stripes have become a staple in every fashion lover’s closet.

They’re simple yet bold and incredibly easy to style. Maybe that’s why they’re my absolute favorite print.  I hate cheetah, I hate leopard (or anything animal print for that matter). But stripes? I can do. They’ve become the new black, a neutral, a major wardrobe key!

There’s tons of do’s and don’t’s over how the wardrobe staple and it’s mostly due to the notion that it can make one “look fat.” But whatever the type of stripes (horizontal or vertical), you can do so much with it! If you’re concerned about how your body looks, just learn your angles, girls! Tip: Thin horizontal lines make your frame smaller and vertical lines elongate your body. You can also try wearing a fitted jacket or belt to cinch at your waist.

I saw this bad boy on ASOS and threw all that to the wind because it just had to be a part of my closet! I’m all for stripes (you know that), but I’m also all for dresses, especially in the summer. I like throwing loose and light fabrics on, without worrying about what’s sticking where. So…this dress was perfect.

I styled the dress with a black and white color block purse and nude sandals to keep the color scheme going.

Whataya think? How do you wear stripes?

wow I love this post you make me wanna wear stripes and I don’t even wear stripes thanks to you I will purchase my next outfit. Great pictures and nice style.

  2. I really love this dress! Stripes make any ensemble more presentable. I particularly love black and white or black and cream stripes. But the colors that you’re wearing really complement your complexion . The shoes are a-maz-ing!! BTW, I’m not sure if I told you before, but I’m really loving the new layout of your blog. Have a great week gorgeous!
