Blush. It isn’t just for beating that pretty face of yours, ladies! And it’s not just the tint your cheek takes on when embarrassed, flustered or flattered.

For such a subtle color, blush has taken over our favorite shops and maybe even our own closets in such a bold way. And, I sure don’t mind! Pink is my favorite color so any rendition of the shade makes me feel so happy inside! Isn’t it crazy how what you adorn yourself with can affect your mood? The color is such a perfect play on youth and femininity — wearing it even brings out the playfulness in me.

Here’s a quick fun fact: the physical act of blushing is universal. So, wearing blush must be, too! (No, I am not a scientist.)

I remember in my high school gym class, everyone was required to do pull ups on the weight thingy and most of the girls struggled including myself. Some turned as red as the mat underneath our feet. When it was my turn, I struggled too and had to laugh at the shock my gym teacher had on her face to see my own face flush red, too! Heck, even I was surprised as she told me to look at my reflection in the mirror. Everyone blushes, no matter your skin!

Okay, sorry — back to clothes. I just had to tell you that funny, little story. You know, since it had to do with blushing and all.

I seriously do find that blush looks good on everyone! You just have to find the right hue. Is the soft, barely there shade for you? Or, does the more saturated hue look best against your skin? I’m down for any 😉

Hence, this blush lace jumpsuit with collar detail from ASOS! You already know jumpsuits are my thing. I’ve lost count of how many I have, but I knew this special one had to join the others. I envision myself wearing it to the office with a stark black blazer and matching pumps. But, I’m still looking for a job in my field (holla at me). So instead, for this collaborated style post, I wore this pretty thang with my nude sandals and pastel blue clutch.

Blushing may be involuntarily, but the color itself can have you ready to take control…in a unexpected, innocent way.

When’s the last time you blushed? I want to hear your take on the color and your embarrassing experiences below!

  1. This colour compliments your skin so well. You look all glowing and gorgeous! I prefer a bolder and brighter pink, but blush is definitely a great colour for this season, including lilac grey….

Love your post and the little PE story lol!

Hi, Lauren! Thanks so much. I’m sure that shade looks great on you! Thanks for reading 🙂

  2. Wow! You look stunning! Adding the mint clutch was a great touch (I didn’t mean to rhyme- lol).

Blush. Such a sophisticated and soft color. I love pairing this color with neutrals and other warm tones. I’ve been in my white-black-gray mode, but now I’m thinking about wearing my warmer tones again. Ha! Have a blessed one!

Haha it’s okay! It’s always awesome unintentionally rhyming. And yes, blush looks great with neutrals. Can’t wait to see how you wear your warmer tones 🙂
